Inspired by hand painted and gilded manuscripts of the Middle Ages and Incunabula, or books printed before 1500, Leesa Haapapuro invites the community to participate in a series of free printmaking, painting and gilding workshops illuminating the William Carlos Williams’ epic poem Asphodel, That Greeny Flower.

Through ongoing community workshops and open studio hours in Rosewood’s new community printmaking studios, the poem will be transformed into an ongoing visual artwork displayed along the halls of Rosewood Arts Center through the spring of 2024. Get involved!

This project is made possible by Montgomery County Arts and Cultural District‘s Artist Opportunity Grant administered by Culture Works with additional support from the City of Kettering’s Rosewood Arts Center.
